Psychodynamic Counsellor/Supervisor

Home

I am an MBACP senior accredited psychodynamic counsellor registered with the UKCP and the UKRCP. I qualified from WPF Kensington with an advanced graduate diploma in psychodynamic counselling and also a WPF diploma in supervision (registered BAPPS member), and also have a BA Honours degree in psychology.

I have a full time private practice based in Marlow established in 2000 and I work privately in either a brief or an open ended way, as well as working in a structured short term model for Employee Assistance Programmes.

I work with individuals who are experiencing problems with relationships, depression, anxiety, phobias, stress, loss, bereavement, work related problems, low self confidence and low self esteem, or simply experiencing feelings of emptiness or feeling that their lives are meaningless.

Over the span of 15 years as a counsellor I have been involved with various aspects of working in charitable voluntary agencies providing counselling to the community.  I started work as a voluntary counsellor with CRUSE Bereavement and moved onto a WPF affiliate seeing a wider cross section of troubled and distressed people.  I have been involved in many aspects of agencies such as training, fund raising, committee work and a stint as a counselling co-ordinator of a counselling agency.   I have taught counselling theory and practice, and mentored and supervised counsellors at various levels of their training.
